Immigration Exams

Meridian, Boise & Nampa Immigration Exams Clinic

We offer immigration physicals and adjustment of status review / updating of immunization records. These services are provided by Dr. Chris Partridge, an authorized Civil Surgeon of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

Included

  • 1Initial Office Visit (for medical, social and family history):
    • physical examination
    • skin testing for tuberculosis
    • flu immunization
    • blood evaluation for syphilis

(All adults will need these items; some patients may need additional immunizations or blood work.)

  • 2 Follow up visit– within 48 to 72 hours for review of the lab results, reading of the tuberculosis test and completion of paperwork at that time if everything is “normal” and acceptable for USCIS use. If these is a need for follow up on any of these tests, we can usually coordinate the additional testing same-day (for example a chest x-ray if the tuberculosis skin test is abnormal).

What is the cost?

A standard immigration physical cost is$598.00. This includes all of the services in the initial office visit (history, physical, flu shot, tuberculosis test and blood testing for syphills as well as the follow up office visit).

If a new medical examination is not required [such as for adjustment of status (immunization review and update)], the cost is $125.00. This includes a review of immunizations, flu shot if needed and completion of Parts 1,2,3,4, and 7 of Form 1-693 sections. USCIS should advise you on the need for a full examination versus an abbreviated review and update of immunizations with completion of limited portions on Form 1-693. Fees are due at the time of the initial visit. We do not bill insurance for these services, but you may be able to submit your receipt (billing documentation) to your insurance carrier for reimbursement; not all insurance companies pay for this type of examination.

What is not covered in the base price above?

Any additional testing based on individual needs will be an additional charge. Potential examples include chest x-ray or missing immunizations (varicella, tetanus, etc). We will always strive to help you meet such government requirements in the most cost-effective manner. In addition, if any services in the base cost are not needed (you provide documentation of current flu vaccination), the price will be adjusted downward accordingly. When comparing costs for this service at different clinics, make sure you understand what is covered under the quoted base cost. Some clinics will advertise a very low cost for the immigration physical, but later reveal the quoted price fails to include blood testing, flu vaccine or tuberculosis testing.
