Federal laws require that drivers who operate certain vehicles have a certified medical examination, to ensure public safety.
The US Department of Transportation (DOT) oversees this medical program for approving commercial driver’s licenses (CDL) and certified medical examiners (CME).
Dr. Crownover is an FMCSA certified medical examiner (CME), who completed the required training and passed the federal examination. He works with drivers to ensure that all relevant conditions are identified and the appropriate type of CDL is issued. As a large portion of his career included service in the armed forces, including service overseas, he has extensive experience working with professionals and completing government mandated examinations.
